The breakfast honored the incredible work of the
Massachusetts Commission to End Homelessness and
featured keynote speaker Chris Gardner, author
of the New York Times Best Seller and subject
of the feature film, The Pursuit of Happyness, and who was once one of the
invisible homeless, as a single parent with a young son.
One Family was honored to welcome Mr. Gardner to Boston on September 23rd
to share his story of triumph over homelessness and his strategy for breaking
the cycle. His unique perspective provided us with invaluable insight for
building solutions to family homelessness.
One Family’s initiatives to break the cycle of family homelessness across
the state have never been more vital. As the state prepares to implement
new and innovative strategies to end family homelessness, One Family is
leading the way as a statewide agent for change.
